Late Summer Ceremony Flowers

September is one of my favorite months for flowers, and the late summer/early fall floral season is fast approaching. Dahlias, zinnias, cosmos, textural grasses, tomato vines, bright marigolds, fragrant mint, pinks, peaches, bold reds, and soft lilac. For anyone who loves or works with flowers, it’s about as good as it gets.

I made these arrangements last September, for a wedding in Catskill, New York, with locally-grown flowers, sourced from the Hudson Valley Flower Collective. These were designed to go along the aisle and at the front of the ceremony to frame the couple. During cocktail hour we moved them all to the reception space to line the DJ booth, giving the flowers a second life and carrying their color palette through the stunning reception space.

You can look through my images from the studio, and scroll to see how everything looked during the ceremony, in photos taken by Beth Cleveland Photography.
